You

Message from Paramahamsa Prajnanananda on his birthday August 2005

Loving and Divine Soul,

God bless you all.

I am happy to write to you after a long time. I was in India for a little over five weeks and had a beautiful pilgrimage. The journey started at Hardwar and then to Rishikesh, Uttarkashi, Gangotri, and Gomukh in the Himalayas. Taking a dip in the ice-cold Ganga and meditating in the Himalayan valleys are very thrilling experiences. The next stop was at the divine abode of Gurudev at Hariharananda Gurukulam in Balighai. The construction of Gurudev’s samadhi temple was in full swing and gave extreme satisfaction. During this time, the fourth weeklong Youth Orientation Camp for college students in Orissa took place at the ashram and more than 100 students participated. There was also the opportunity to once again attend the Chariot Festival of Lord Jagannath in Puri. Guru Purnima was celebrated at the ashram with more than 500 devotees joining the three-day program. We then drove to Hariharananda Balashram, the residential school for the less privileged children, and participated in some of the activities.

In preparation for our beloved Gurudev’s upcoming centenary program we met with the Governor and Chief Minister of Orissa to apprise them of this grand celebration and invite them to attend. They cordially accepted and promised to help as much as possible to make the event a success.

The pilgrimage came to an end with our visit to Kashmir, known as the paradise on earth, where we roamed in the beautiful scenic valleys of the Himalayas, prayed in the cave of Lord Amarnath, the cave temple of Ice Shiva Lingam.

Now I am back in Europe at Tattendorf Ashram for the month of August and then in September in the USA.  I hope to see you soon.

Please meditate nicely and be divine.          Do not waste your precious time.

I am again requesting you all to practice the teachings of Gurudev and be actively involved in his upcoming centenary celebration from May 2006 through May 2007.

I am praying for you all.
With Love
Prajnanananda
