Life is a series of experiences. “Anything that comes in time will go in time. Some pleasure has come, it will go. Some sorrow has come, it will go. Some success has come, it will go.” In order to bring lasting richness to each moment of our life we need to understand the value of breath. The great yogi Paramahamsa Hariharananda taught; “every inhalation is a birth, every exhalation is a death. One breath is an entire lifetime.”
When one brings a meditation practice into daily life, their outlook shifts dramatically. The goal of life unfolds and innumerable desires drop away. Harmonious simplicity becomes the natural way of life.
It is important that one learns meditation from an experienced teacher. One such spiritual teacher, experienced in the process of meditation, and having attained the pulseless and breathless state of nirvikalpa samadhi, is Paramahamsa Prajnanananda. He is the current Master in the Kriya Yoga tradition and has been selflessly traveling the globe since 1994, guiding seekers of Truth in the Kriya Yoga technique.
Our breath is the link to spiritual evolution and yet we place little value on our breath in daily life. Paramahamsa Prajnanananda teaches that “breath is your life, breath is your treasure”.
Establishing a relationship with the Divine, by becoming conscious of our breath in all activities, is the process taught in Kriya Yoga. The technique is very easy to learn and can be practiced by anyone above the age of twelve.
By learning the breathing techniques and spinal exercises of Kriya Yoga meditation one will find improved clarity of thought, increased strength in the body and heightened awareness of the indwelling Self. Kriya Yoga is the essence of all religions; it brings all round development in our life, and speeds us along the path to Self-Realisation.
