Kriya Yoga is an ancient and powerful system of meditation, which promises the practitioner excellent health, peace of mind and the ability to live a stress-free life. The people of India have practiced it for many centuries under the guidance of trained teachers. It was brought to the attention of the West by the well-known spiritual teacher Paramahamsa Yogananda in his book 'Autobiography of a Yogi'.

In order to practice Kriya Yoga
one must first participate in an Initiation training, wherebye the correct technique is taught by an authentic teacher. Kriya Yoga Initiation is held once a year in New Zealand, usually in October, and is given by Paramahamsa Prajnananda or one of his appointed teachers. The event is always preceded by one or two free public discourses.
